When you hear the term "disciple" what do you think of? One of the 12 men that followed Jesus? A disciple generally means someone that is learning under the instruction of another, or a student. In the context of the Bible, it also means one that is constantly associated to another person and their views. We view a disciple of Jesus as not just learning, but actively living out our lives according to Jesus' teaching and example of His life.

This isn't your average Teen Bible Study or Youth Gathering! The purpose of this group is true discipleship where we will be diving deep into God's Word. We will start in the Gospel according to Luke for the first semester and spend the second semester in Acts. We will be learning from not only Jesus' teachings in these books, but also discussing how He lived his life and what that means for us as followers of Jesus in the 21st century.

Please know that this group will have an outside time commitment. Scripture reading will be assigned between each meeting time, and students will be expected to take this seriously and come each week prepared for discussion. With the goal to strengthen our relationship with the Lord and learn what it means to be a follower of Jesus, it is required that we build the habit of learning from Him and talking to Him daily.
What you will need:
-
A Bible (we will read from the ESV, but this version is not required)
-
A notebook for journaling & taking notes

Pen or pencil
