Below are our Discovery Class options for this age group. Students do not have to stay all day, but they do have to be enrolled in a class for each class hour they are on campus.

Homestead

A hands-on approach to science through homesteading techniques. We’ll touch on things such as recycling and repairing household items, gardening, made from scratch foods & more.

In this class we will learn how to color, shade, and draw using alcohol markers! These markers are magical for making art! They blend, shade, and leave no marker lines! Get ready to take your art to the next level. Each student will get to keep their set of markers at the end of the year.
*Alcohol Markers can stain and are not a cheap art material, please make sure your student has the maturity to handle the markers responsibly*

Truth Seekers 2 continues from Truth Seekers 1, but can also stand on its own. Christianity is true, and it's based on evidence. Do you know how to investigate Christianity like a detective or journalist? Do you know how to share the truth with your friends? This class uses info from Cold Case Christianity and The Case for Christ to build your faith and show you how to share the truth. Fun, hands-on activities in each class.

This is a student project led class, where I teach all the fundamentals, tips, tricks, and extra hacks. The possibilities are truly endless with crochet, if you can dream it, you can do it!

Strategic Thinking: Chess, Tactics, and DecisionMaking
This class uses chess as a primary teaching tool to explore advanced strategic thinking, decision-making, pattern recognition, and planning. Students will learn how to think several moves ahead, evaluate trade-offs, manage risk, and apply these skills to real-world scenarios beyond chess.

Parables and The Art of Understanding
This class invites students into a deeper study of the parables of Jesus, emphasizing historical context, original language insights (Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, and Latin where relevant), and discernment through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Through these teachings, students will see how Jesus used simple stories to reveal profound truth and how God’s living Word continues to speak personally to the hearts of those who listen.

From Scratch: Real Food Cooking
Invites students into the kitchen to learn how food was made long before boxes and shortcuts. Each class centers around one shared recipe prepared from simple ingredients, teaching foundational cooking skills, teamwork, and confidence in the kitchen. This class celebrates the joy of creating something with your hands and learning skills that will actually be useful in everyday life.
