Below are our Discovery Class options for this age group. Students do not have to stay all day, but they do have to be enrolled in a class for each class hour they are on campus.
*any additional class supply fee is charged for supplies or teacher fees (this fee covers the FULL SCHOOL YEAR)

Sensational
Tools
We will learn about how we use our five senses to meet the needs of our bodies, which can be especially useful when feeling overstimulated, stressed, sad, or upset. We will create some fun sensory tools that students can take home to put in their toolbox. Some of the mediums we will use include rice, water beads, paint, and play dough to name a few!

public speaking & attentive listening
Public Speaking (and attentive listening) is an important life skill! In this class for little ones, they will present in a show-and-tell format. This will be a fun, engaging format as each child presents something they are excited to share with their classmates for 2-5 minutes. Some kids will be excited to share from week one, and some kids will need a couple weeks to warm up. But by the end each child will be confident getting up and speaking in front of their class. When it is not their turn to speak they will be taught and expected to listen attentively to the one who is presenting.
We will also touch on other types of speaking such as impromptu speaking, improv, etc.

In this class we will be learning various styles, including, Ballet, Jazz, And Musical Theatre. These kids learn many things throughout the year. Including a whole new language! Most ballet terms are in French. We also play many games, learn dances, and even perform on a stage!

In this exciting class, young explorers will "visit" different countries, learning about their cultures, traditions, landmarks, and food through fun activities, crafts, and stories. Students will collect stamps in their own little passports as they discover the wonders of our world, fostering curiosity and a love for global learning. Adventure awaits!

Put on your lab coat and goggles—it's time for some wacky experiments! In this exciting, hands-on class, young scientists will explore the wonders of chemistry, physics, and biology through fun and safe experiments. From bubbling potions to crazy reactions, students will discover the magic of science while learning to ask questions, make predictions, and think like real scientists. Get ready to mix, fizz, and explore in this high-energy adventure!

This fun and engaging workshop type class will have little writers creating poetry from the very first lesson. Students will learn about shape, color, sensory, and feelings poems as well as Haiku, acrostic, and free verse. Each week will feature a new style of poem and new activities to spark creative thinking.
