ASPIRE DANCE RULES

  1. Be respectful to the chaperones.

  2. Be respectful dancers.  No provocative dancing (bumping and grinding, vulgar dancing, etc.)  Also, no Parkour or flips. You will receive 1 warning. The second time you will be asked to leave.

  3. Be respectful of the facilities and others. No horsing around (ex: running around, no throwing food, no acting violently towards the property, attendees, chaperones).  Students will only be leaving the room to use the bathroom. No roaming around the church or lingering outside.

  4. No drug, alcohol, or tobacco use.

  5. Aspire Winter Ball is not the time or the place to express your sexuality. Aspire Leadership and Chaperones reserve the right to ask any attendee to leave the prom due to behavior deemed inappropriate.

  6. Chaperones and Winter Ball organizers will not be held liable for injuries or pain and suffering occurring at, during, or because of the prom. We have Aspire Chaperones who have worked so hard to bring these kids a wonderful event and are dedicated to keeping them safe and appropriate, therefore no outside Chaperones are needed or allowed in the building. We want to make sure this event stays about the kids and their memories. Feel free to take photos outside the building before entry.

  7. All ticket sales are final – Sorry - NO REFUNDS.

  8. Join the Page on Facebook called Aspire Homeschool Prom/Fall Dance (LINK) for information, updates, and to ask any questions.

  9. Dress respectfully.  No inappropriate dress.  We will have T-shirts and Shorts / Sweatpants for students to change into if they arrive at this event out of dress code!  We have NEW simple rules, please follow them:

Girls:

  • Girls MUST wear a dress to this formal event.  No Pant Suits of any kinds allowed!

  • Aspire's Reasonable Rule of 3 B's - We don't want to see your bottom, belly or your breasts. Period. This rule also applies even when you are dancing and moving around.

  • no cleavage showing & no plunging necklines

  • no belly / abdomen showing, so no  2 pieces or short crop tops

  • open backs are allowed, however - what do we NOT want to see?? All together now - the 3 B's, so your open back should not impede too far on your side or too low on your waist

  • no see-through areas that show the 3 B's (you may have mesh as long as these areas are not shown)

  • Length of dresses, skirts & slits must not be more than a dollar bills WIDTH above the knee, UNLESS you wear a pair of shorts with a 4" or longer inseam underneath. If you have at least 4" inseam shorts underneath your skirt or dress, then we will allow it to be shorter.  If you come in a dress that is shorter, be prepared to prove that you have shorts on underneath.

  • Try dancing in your outfit to make sure you stay in it.

  • We are no longer requiring dress approvals due to our more straightforward rules.  But, please be warned that if you show up in an outfit that goes against this dress code, you will be asked to put on a t-shirt, shorts, sweatpants or asked to leave.

Boys:

  • Boys MUST wear nice dress clothes - collared shirts, tuxes, suits and ties.

  • No jeans or shorts, holey pants or t-shirts.

Most important … Come and HAVE FUN and Dance the night away!!
